Professional Development Workshops Fall 2021
This fall, I’m excited to work with the students at the University of Arizona Fred Fox School of Music, some of whom attended Spotlight on Opera in our 15th Anniversary Season. Equally exhilarating is the opportunity to work with students from Austin Community College.
Last season’s clients included Cal State Stanislaus, San Jose State, the Aaron Copland School of Music, Texas Tech, University of Dayton, University of Oklahoma, and Georgia Southern University. If you’d like to chat about bringing a professional development workshop to your school or organization, please reach out!

Spotlight on Opera's 15th Anniversary Season
In 2006, Cindy founded Spotlight on Opera as a one-week “opera camp” at St. Edward’s University in Austin. This year, Spotlight celebrates its 15th Anniversary Season.
From June 12-July 13, Spotlight offers live Zoom concerts every Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. Central., culminating in two nights of La traviata. Filmed productions of The Child (L’enfant et les sortileges), the children’s opera Goldie B. Locks and the Three Singing Bears, and the Opera Scenes Showcase will be released in Fall 2021.
Cindy directs the Drama Queens Concert, Composers of Color Concert, and the Anything Goes Concert; scenes from The Consul, L’elisir d’amore, Don Pasquale, Giulio Cesare, and Dido & Aeneas.
