It's not okay.
It's not okay to rape a woman because she's slutty, already has two kids by two different fathers, works at a strip club, is a known prostitute, blew the whole football team under the bleachers last Saturday night, or because you think she's "just one of 'those' girls, she will more than likely be out at a party the same time this year getting passed from guy to guy, or knocked up".
It's not okay to rape a woman because she was drinking too much, she was underage and drinking too much, she was high, she was unconscious, she was dressed provocatively, she was out too late, she was hanging out with the wrong people, she was at a party, she fell asleep on the couch at the frat house, or because she just should have known better.
It's not okay to rape a woman because she is walking alone to her car, riding the bus, on the subway train, walking home from work, homeless and living on the streets, jogging on an isolate path, home by herself, or working the late shift on her own.
It's not okay to rape a woman because she needs to be taught a lesson, doesn't know her place, because she deserves it, because she has objectionable looks, race, or political views, because she is a lesbian, or because she needs a real man.
It's not okay to rape a woman because you're a bigshot at your school or place of business or in your crowd of friends and you feel entitled; or because you're kind of drunk; or because your friends are egging you on; or because your friends are taking turns themselves; or because she's your wife or girlfriend; or because she's "asking for it"; or because she looks so funny like that; or because boys will be boys.
If she said No, and you did it anyway, it's rape.
If she didn't want it, and you did it anyway, it's rape.
If she was too drunk or sick or unconscious to give consent and you did it anyway, it's rape.
If she is too scared or intimidated to give consent and you did it anyway, it's rape.
If she is too mentally ill or intellectually challenged to give consent and you did it anyway, it's rape.
If she's underage, even if she looks older and even if she lies and says she's older and even if she says yes, it's rape.
If you put any part of your body or an object into her mouth, vagina, or anus, even just a little bit, without her consent, it's rape.
And if you and your friends take pictures of your humiliated victim as you laugh at her, and post them all over social media for everyone to see, and are convicted through evidence you yourselves provided, and are sentenced to jail time; if your "life is over" because of what you did and your "promising" careers are in tatters; if you're now going on the sex offender registry for the rest of your life ... it's because you are a sex offender. You thought it was fun to use another human being like an object --- but let's face it, you weren't raping a lamp post --- it was fun because it WAS another living being, one who could be hurt and humiliated. You had a good time hurting and humiliating another human being. You're on the sex offender registry for the rest of your life because you ARE a sex offender. You are a rapist.
And it's not okay.
